Wasteland

Outside, in the overgrown garden of 31 Castle Lane, was ‘Wasteland’. Passing daily through the town, I noticed how people put used drinks bottles and cans in prominent places; on top of telephone junction boxes, on window ledges and symbolically on the top of waste bins. Is it a kind of trophy statement or merely a kind of careless arrogance
