for Bedford Museum
It’s official – Bedford Museum is a great place
to visit!
Bedford Museum has received the accreditation of
‘Quality Assured Visitor Attraction’ from the English Tourism Council for the
quality of its attraction.
The
Museum has also received the ‘Welcome Host for Cultural Heritage’ recognition
from the East of England Tourist Board for the high standard of service provided
by staff. The ‘Quality Assured Visitor Attraction’ assessment is carried out
at attractions across the country and takes into account the whole visitor experience,
including telephone enquiries, directional signage, the attraction itself, toilets,
catering and retailing. It records that "Bedford Museum has continued to
raise quality and interest for its visitor market". Bedford Museum staff
went through a vigorous day’s training to achieve the ‘Welcome Host for Cultural
Heritage’ accreditation, which is a national quality mark.
