FAMILY HISTORY DAY - SUNDAY 14 OCTOBER 2001 : 2.00 to 5.00 p.m.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you have any titled, famous or just plain infamous individuals in your ancestral family tree, Bedford Museum may just be able to help you with your detective work.  The Museum will be hosting its second ‘Family History Day’ on Sunday 14th October 2001.  The event will draw together the expertise of both the thriving Bedfordshire Family History Society and the Bedfordshire and Luton Archives and Records Service. 

Help will be on hand for those just starting out on this fascinating and addictive pastime and for the more experienced genealogist with specific needs or queries.  The 1851 Bedfordshire census, county index and printed parish registers will all be available for viewing, together with a whole host of useful publications
