60 TONGUES OF BEDFORD

This is a 5 month project between the young people of Bedford Foyer, Bedford Museum and the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery. It is funded by the Department for Education and Skills, via the Campaign for Learning in Museums and Galleries and the South Eastern Museums Service.

26th October Shadows Over Bedford

Spooky live bats and owls will both be descending on Bedford Museum during the course of the day. Visitors will have a chance to see these nocturnal flyers close-up, and possibly even touch one, if they dare!   To view images of this day please click here.

July 2002 Double celebration for Bedford Museum

It’s official – Bedford Museum is a great place to visit!

June 2002 The "Music, Song and Dance" 

The event on June 9th raised £112.58 for the animal charity R.A.T.S. Thank you to the participants and the organisers who gave so freely of their time, and to our visitors for supporting the event and the charity.

PRIMROSE APPEAL  £307 was raised for the Primrose Appeal during our Christmas Family Day, which was based on a 1940s theme. Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to the Appeal.

7 Oct 2001 MICHAELMAS CRAFT FAIR
During the Medieval period such fairs were very popular, celebrating both the end of Harvest and honouring St. Michael, the second most famous dragon slayer after St. George.  There will be goods for sale by local artists and crafts people.
